Grousewoods is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Grousewoods is very car friendly. It is very easy to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Grousewoods is rather poor. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Despite the fact that there is a high density of cyclists, Grousewoods is not particularly amenable to cycling since this part of District of North Vancouver has a sometimes poor cycling infrastructure, and riding a bicycle is rendered arduous by the often steep terrain. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as carrying out daily needs is inconvenient by walking.

Services

It is challenging to reach the nearest supermarket on foot in Grousewoods. In addition, a coffee shop is often just around the corner. With respect to education, daycares and primary schools are very easy to reach on foot from anywhere in this area. Most areas in this part of District of North Vancouver are especially quiet, as the streets are generally especially peaceful.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in Grousewoods. Roughly 60% of the properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1980 and 1990, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the remainder are renters.
