Capilano is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is convenient to move around by bicycle in Capilano as. Capilano is also suitable for those who travel by foot; many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a car, and a variety of businesses are reasonably close by. Driving is a great mode of transportation in Capilano. The majority of real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and parking is easy. On the other hand, the public transit service in Capilano is not very frequent. Thankfully, house owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby.

Services

It is a short walk to get to primary schools and daycares from anywhere in Capilano. However, there are no high schools in this area. Concerning eating, the nearest supermarket in this part of District of North Vancouver is generally only a reasonably short walk away. Residents of Capilano are served by a few restaurants as well.

Character

Capilano offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Green spaces, including Murdo Frazer Park, are very well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to check out, making it very easy to get to them. Most areas in this neighbourhood are very quiet, as the streets tend to be very calm around Trans-Canada Highway.

In Capilano, most dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this area were constructed prior to the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.
