Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Lake City is a neighbourhood within Burnaby, British Columbia.

Transportation

Lake City is an extremely convenient part of Burnaby for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to find a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit system in Lake City is sometimes poor. Thankfully, there is Production Way-University Station @ Platform 2 and Production Way-University Station @ Platform 1 on the Expo Line and Millennium Line. There are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of the city because very few common errands can be run on foot. On the other hand, a good number of residents in the area use their bike because the cycling network is extensive.

Services

Some house buyers in Lake City may be able to access the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need a vehicle. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well. As far as education is concerned, daycares and primary schools are easy to get to on foot from most homes for sale in Lake City. In contrast, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools.

Character

Lake City offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
