Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are especially easy to access from any home in this part of the city, and it is convenient to come across a place to park. However, the public transit service in UDistrict is not very frequent. Nonetheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. Although residents often choose to travel by bike, cycling is occasionally difficult in UDistrict because the bicycling network is not particularly extensive, and bicycling is rendered arduous by the typically steep area. Walking is also not very popular in this area, even though many daily errands can be run on foot.

Character

UDistrict offers a calm environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are a few parks close by for residents to check out and they are very well-spread out, which results in them being easy to get to from a large number of locations in this neighbourhood. This area is also quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Trans-Canada Highway.

Housing

In UDistrict, around half of dwellings are small apartment buildings, and the rest of the properties are mainly duplexes and single detached homes. This part of the city has a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
