Sumas Way will draw physically active people as it is well-suited for walking; running daily errands is easy by walking. In contrast, moving around by bicycle is occasionally challenging in this area since there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. The preferred approach to navigate this area is very often driving. It is a short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in Sumas Way, and it is especially convenient to park. In contrast, Sumas Way is not very transit friendly.
