The neighbourhood of Red Carpet is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Red Carpet is especially car friendly. The majority of houses for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, and it is very easy to access a place to park. However, this area is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. This area is reasonably bike-friendly since Red Carpet has a fairly good cycling infrastructure, and the topography is quite flat. However, walking in Red Carpet is not very popular, although running daily errands is convenient.

Services

This area does not contain any high schools or primary schools. In addition, it can be difficult to access daycares as a pedestrian. In terms of eating, in all but a few cases, a vehicle is required to do groceries. Nevertheless, it is generally a rather short distance to the nearest pharmacy, which can provide some staple foods. Residents of Red Carpet are served by a few restaurants as well.

The character of Red Carpet is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Green spaces are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to explore, which makes it very easy to get to them. Most areas in this part of Calgary are quiet, as the streets are tranquil.

Mobile homes are the most common housing type, representing most dwellings in Red Carpet, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Around 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This neighbourhood also has a choice of housing size options; there is a higher proportion of two bedroom homes in this area. Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
