Transportation

Parkridge is very car friendly. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, and it is easy to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit service in Parkridge is rather limited. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. The bike is a good means of transportation in Parkridge as cyclists do not encounter significant hills, and the cycling network is well-developed. Walking is not particularly feasible for property owners in this area since meeting daily needs is sometimes challenging on foot.

Services

Parents and their children will value that wherever their house is situated in this area, primary schools and daycares are nearby. On the other hand, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools. In terms of eating, the nearest grocery store in this neighbourhood is generally only a reasonably short walk away.

Character

The character of Parkridge is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. This part of Saskatoon is wonderful for those who need quiet areas, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, a lot of locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, including James Girgulis and Morris T Cherneskey, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore.

Housing

The housing stock of Parkridge is composed primarily of single detached homes and row houses. This part of the city did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new dwellings in this neighbourhood was spread throughout several decades in recent history. This part of Saskatoon offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 70% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 30% are rented.
