Pacific Heights

The neighbourhood of Pacific Heights is part of the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which is located in the Greater Saskatoon metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a very good means of transportation in Pacific Heights. Most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, Pacific Heights is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. This neighbourhood is quite conducive to biking because there are a limited number of hills, and the bicycling network is reasonably comprehensive. It is at times difficult for pedestrians to get around in this part of Saskatoon as few daily errands can be run on foot.

Services

Families will appreciate that no matter where their property is located in Pacific Heights, primary schools and daycares are nearby. In contrast, Pacific Heights does not have any high schools. Parents have the choice between public and private primary schools. As far as eating is concerned, a grocery store is ordinarily reachable within an extended walk from anywhere in this part of Saskatoon. Additionally, a coffee shop is commonly just around the corner.

The character of Pacific Heights is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This part of the city is very quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, parks, such as Pacific, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in, which makes them easy to access.

The predominant housing types in Pacific Heights are single detached homes and row houses. Most housing in this part of the city was constructed between 1960 and 1980, during its largest building boom. This part of Saskatoon offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while the rest are rented.
