Part of the Greater Regina metropolitan area, Cityview is a neighbourhood within Regina, Saskatchewan.

Transportation

Most houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are quite conducive to those who travel by foot; carrying out day-to-day needs is easy. Although there are few hills to challenge cyclists, Cityview is not particularly suited for biking because the bicycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive. Commuting by public transit is difficult in Cityview. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually just around the corner. In contrast, the best transportation option in this neighbourhood is very often driving. It is convenient to park, and many homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Nevertheless, getting to the nearest pharmacy and accordingly some basic food items is typically especially convenient. Cityview is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. It is also easy to get to a selection of clothing stores on foot. Regarding education, in Cityview, families will almost always be able to reach schools and daycares by walking.

Character

The character of Cityview is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to visit, such as North East Park, and they are especially well-situated, making them very easy to get to. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing around half of dwellings in Cityview, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. A majority of the housing growth in this part of the city occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. This area is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
