Situated within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, LaSalle is a borough in Montréal, Quebec.

Transportation

This part of Montréal presents home buyers with the choice between different means of transportation. Walking is feasible for property owners in LaSalle; meeting daily needs is easy on foot. Biking is also convenient in this borough as the cycling infrastructure is fairly good, and it is a flat ride to most destinations. LaSalle is reasonably transit friendly as a result of Gare LaSalle with access to the 14 - Candiac, and approximately 20 nearby bus lines. LaSalle is also a fairly good part of Montréal for travelling by car. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this area, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot.

Services

It is straightforward to access the closest supermarket by walking from anywhere in this borough. A small selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a short walk to reach daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this borough. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy LaSalle. There is a fair amount of greenery in this part of the city as many tree-lined streets are prominent. Public green spaces, including Parc Riverside and Promenade de l' Aqueduc, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 40 of them nearby for residents to check out, making it very easy to reach them from a large number of locations within the borough. The noise levels in this borough are also very low, as the streets are generally very tranquil.

Housing

In LaSalle, around half of dwellings are duplexes, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
