Transportation

Bout-de-l'Île will draw home buyers that value different modes of transportation. Driving is usually the preferred mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. It is a short car ride to the closest highway from any home in Bout-de-l'Île, and parking is easy. Thanks to Fin Nord voie de contournement Pointe-aux-Trembles on the 15 - Mascouche, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, this neighbourhood is also transit friendly. This area is amenable to cycling as there are a limited number of hills. In contrast, Bout-de-l'Île is not very conducive to those who travel by foot as common amenities such as hair salons or banks can be an extended walk away.

Services

Buying one's groceries very often requires the use of a car in Bout-de-l'Île. Nevertheless, getting to the nearest pharmacy and consequently some staple foods is usually convenient. A small variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well. In terms of education, it is a short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this part of Montréal. Public green spaces, such as Parc Linéaire de la Coulée-Grou and Parc de la Polyvalente de Pointe-aux-Trembles, are very well-distributed and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to visit, making it easy to access them. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially closer to the railway line.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing about half of buildings in Bout-de-l'Île, and the remaining dwellings are mainly single detached homes. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the properties in Bout-de-l'Île and 20% are rented.
