Outremont is a borough within Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

This borough does not demand driving since various other modes of transportation are available. It is very easy for pedestrians to move around in Outremont; all common errands can be run without needing to use a car, and various businesses are reasonably close by. Outremont is also a very pleasant part of Montréal for cyclists. More specifically, the bicycling network is reasonably good. Outremont is home to a very good public transit system as a consequence of 2 rapid transit stations (Outremont Station and Édouard-Montpetit Station) with access to the Ligne 5 - Bleue, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. However, driving is a sometimes poor transportation option in Outremont as it is difficult to park, and the majority of houses for sale are an occasionally long car ride from the closest highway.
