Situated within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Connaught Park is a neighbourhood in Mont-Royal, Quebec.

Transportation

Connaught Park enables house buyers to travel using several alternative means of transportation. The fairly good public transit access makes transit a viable option for many thanks to Acadie Station on the Ligne 5 - Bleue, and approximately 10 nearby bus lines. It is also easy for pedestrians to move around in Connaught Park; many common errands can be run without the use of a car, and plenty of businesses are quite close by. Riding a bicycle is reasonably adopted in Connaught Park as there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Services

Both general and specialty grocery stores are typically accessible within a short walk from most homes for sale in Connaught Park. Furthermore, this part of Mont-Royal is a fairly good place in which to eat out, for instance along Rue de Liège, and house buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, it is a short walk to get to schools and daycares from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood.

Character

The character of Connaught Park is exemplified by its calm ambience. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case close to one of the railway lines or Autoroute Décarie. Finally, this part of Mont-Royal also features a good amount of greenery; there are about 20 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, such as Parc Danyluk and Park Fleming, and they are especially well-distributed, making it very easy to reach them. Residents will also find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is reasonably good.

Housing

In Connaught Park, roughly one third of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened prior to the 1960s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
