The borough of Les Rivières is part of the city of Québec, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Québec City metropolitan area.

Transportation

Les Rivières is very car friendly. Most real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Laurentienne, and it is easy to park. However, the public transit service in Les Rivières is rather poor. Nevertheless, residents benefit from over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the city, even though running daily errands is easy by walking. However, the bicycle is a reasonably good means of transportation in Les Rivières as it is a flat ride to most destinations.

Services

In terms of education, it is a rather short walk to get to daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Les Rivières. In Les Rivières, most dwellings are small apartment buildings, whereas the rest are mainly single detached homes. This part of the city also has a good choice of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. There are equal parts owners and renters living in this area. The buildings in this borough are quite new, since roughly one third of its buildings were constructed following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
