Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is very easy to get around in this neighbourhood. This area benefits from a very good public transit infrastructure. For instance, rapid transit stations, including Acadie Station and Parc Station on the Ligne 5 - Bleue, are ordinarily a short walk away from most residences in the neighbourhood. Train stations, including the Gare Parc on the 12 - Saint-Jérôme, are not very far-removed from the bulk of properties in the neighbourhood. There are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close. Parc-Extension will also draw physically active house buyers because it is very well-suited for those who travel by foot; most common errands can be run on foot, and numerous businesses are reasonably nearby. Parc-Extension is a fairly pleasant part of Montréal for cyclists. In particular, it is an even ride to most locations.

Services

Families will appreciate the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in this neighbourhood. With respect to eating, it is especially easy to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store by walking from anywhere in this neighbourhood. Those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and spending time in green spaces will feel at home in Parc-Extension. It is easy to find lively places in this part of Montréal. Although the nightlife is quiet, the streets are almost always busy with people, and there is a narrow selection of entertainment venues. Greenery is not particularly prominent in this neighbourhood; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is sub-par. However, parks are especially well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to explore, which results in them being very easy to reach from a lot of locations within Parc-Extension.
