Located within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sector V is a neighbourhood in Brossard, Quebec.

Transportation

Cars are a very good means of transportation in this neighbourhood. The majority of properties for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute René-Lévesque, and it is easy to access a parking spot. In contrast, sector V is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, there are about 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in sector V since there are a limited number of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly good. In contrast, walking in sector V is not very common, even though running common errands is easy.

Services

House buyers in this part of the city generally have to rely on a vehicle to travel to the nearest supermarket. There are a limited number of options for those who care about close by restaurants. With regards to education, primary schools are straightforward to get to on foot from any location in this area. However, there are no high schools in this part of the city.

Character

Sector V offers a calm atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. Greenery is reasonably prominent in this neighbourhood as most streets have fairly good tree coverage. It is easy to access green spaces since there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are tranquil - although there are still several noisier areas, especially near Autoroute René-Lévesque or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

Housing

Around two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one third are renters. In this part of the city, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly small apartment buildings. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood occurred between 1960 and 1980. This neighbourhood has a good selection of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
