This part of the city is a great area with regards to travelling without a car. La Petite-Patrie is very transit friendly. For example, it is very easy to reach a nearby rapid transit station, including Station Jean-Talon 2, Fabre Station and Beaubien Station on the Ligne 2 - Orange and Ligne 5 - Bleue, from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 20 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the nearest bus stop is usually just around the corner. La Petite-Patrie is also especially conducive to walking; most common errands can be run on foot, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. Physically active house buyers will be pleased with the especially cycling-friendly character of this part of the city. In particular, the cycling network is good, and cyclists do not face significant slopes.
