Des Vallées is an urban village within Gatineau, Quebec, which is located in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred method of transportation in Des Vallées is very often a car. It is especially convenient to park, and nearby highways, such as Autoroute de l'Outaouais, are reasonably easy to access from anywhere in this part of Gatineau. On the other hand, residents using public transit may experience limited choices in Des Vallées as a result of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, the urban village is served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Cycling is occasionally challenging in Des Vallées as the terrain is not especially flat, and there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the homes for sale in this urban village are located in places that are also not very conducive to walking as very few day-to-day errands can be run on foot.

Services

This part of Gatineau does not have any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, parents may consider it very difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian. As far as eating is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries.
