University

Located within the Greater Windsor metropolitan area, University is a neighbourhood within Windsor, Ontario.

Transportation

University is a fairly convenient part of Windsor for pedestrians; many day-to-day needs can be carried out on foot. University will also draw physically active house buyers since it is quite suitable for biking. More precisely, there are a limited number of elevation changes, and this neighbourhood has a reasonably good cycling infrastructure. Driving is very often the favoured mode of transportation in University. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, and it is easy to park. In contrast, commuting by transit can be difficult in University due to the low service level. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most properties.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate the proximity to both primary and secondary schools, which are within walking distance from most, if not all, homes for sale in University. Along with public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of daycares and therefore they can be a long walk away. Finally, parks, including Assumption and Centennial, are very well-distributed and there are approximately 20 of them close by for residents to discover, making them easy to access from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood.
