Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Glen Shields is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario.

Transportation

A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are well-suited for walking; many daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car. The bicycle is a good method of transportation in Glen Shields as riding a bike is made easier by the generally flat terrain. Commuting by transit can be sometimes difficult in Glen Shields due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, there is Centre / Dufferin with access to the Viva Orange. The neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. In contrast, driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. Parking is generally easy, and many houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407.

Services

Parents and their children will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in Glen Shields, primary schools and daycares are close by. On the other hand, this area does not contain any high schools. In terms of eating, it is very easy to reach the closest supermarket on foot from any home in this neighbourhood. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

Glen Shields is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This area is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Lastly, green spaces, including Marita Payne Park, are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, which makes it very easy to reach them from the majority of locations in Glen Shields.

Housing
