Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Concord is a neighbourhood within Vaughan, Ontario.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent means of transportation in this part of the city. Nearby highways, such as Highway 407, are very easy to access from anywhere in Concord, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in this part of Vaughan is not especially frequent. Nevertheless, property owners can count on the Rutherford on the Barrie. Homeowners are served by a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Viva Orange and Line 1 (Yonge-University). There are about 30 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. This part of Vaughan is reasonably bike-friendly. On the other hand, walking in Concord is not very common, although many daily needs can be carried out on foot.

Services

Some property owners in this part of the city may be able to access the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will need another means of transportation. There are also over 50 restaurants and cafes in this area. Concerning education, parents and their kids will welcome that wherever their house is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, families may find it difficult for their children to get to high schools as a pedestrian.

Character

There is a good selection of green spaces in Concord. It is easy to get to parks from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to discover. It remains relatively calm in this part of the city, as there are very few people out and about on the streets.

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing many dwellings in Concord, whereas the remainder are mainly single detached homes. This neighbourhood also has a good variety of housing sizes - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The split between renters and homeowners is about even. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant building boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era.
