The neighbourhood of Brownridge is part of the city of Vaughan, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Brownridge affords homeowners the choice between different means of transportation. This part of Vaughan features a reasonably good public transit infrastructure due to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Viva Orange, and a few nearby bus lines. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also quite conducive to those who travel by foot; most day-to-day needs are easy to meet without having to resort to a vehicle. It is easy to move around by bicycle in this neighbourhood because Brownridge features a reasonably good cycling infrastructure.

Services

It is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from anywhere in Brownridge. Families have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. Regarding eating, the closest supermarket in Brownridge is usually only a reasonably short walk away. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small number of coffee shops can be found as well.

Character

Brownridge is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of the city are especially low, as the streets are generally very tranquil. Finally, it is easy to access parks in the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to visit.

Housing

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing many dwellings in Brownridge, and the remaining properties are mainly large apartment buildings. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Vaughan occurred between 1980 and 1990. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
