The former municipality of York can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area affords home buyers the choice between various methods of transportation. York is very transit friendly by reason of 3 rapid transit stations (Jane Station - Westbound Platform, Eglinton West Station - Southbound Platform and Eglinton West Station - Northbound Platform) on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth) and Line 1 (Yonge-University), and around 40 nearby bus lines. York will also draw physically active people as it is very convenient for walking; many daily needs are convenient to meet on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. The bike is a fairly good means of transportation in York.

Over 50 supermarkets are located nearby, and the best variety can be found on streets like St Clair Avenue. In addition, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner.
