Willowridge

Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Willowridge is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Regardless of the mode of transportation, it is quite simple to move around in this neighbourhood. With a few nearby bus lines, this part of Toronto has a fairly good public transit system. However, walking is not especially practical for home buyers in this area since common amenities such as hardware stores or hair salons can be an occasionally long walk away. Bicycling is convenient in Willowridge. Willowridge is also a very good part of Toronto for driving. Many real estate listings are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 427, and it is convenient to access a place to park.

Services

Accessing the closest grocery store by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in this area. In terms of education, families will appreciate the proximity to daycares and schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of homes for sale in Willowridge.

Character

Willowridge offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy. To be more specific, there are a few parks close by for residents to relax in, like Etobicoke Hydro Green Space, and they are very well-distributed, making it very easy to reach them. Many areas of this neighbourhood are very serene and quiet, but some other parts can be noisy, especially around Highway 401 or Highway 427.

Housing

In Willowridge, about 60% of dwellings are large apartment buildings, while single detached homes and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened in the 1960s and 1970s. This area offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Renters occupy roughly 55% of the units in the neighbourhood and 45% are occupied by owners.
