In South Hill, the majority of buildings are large apartment buildings, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. This part of Toronto is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. The population residing in this part of the city is evenly split between owners and renters. About half of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s.
