The neighbourhood of Humber Valley can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood provides homeowners with several alternative methods of transportation. The public transit network in Humber Valley is practical. House owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Humber Valley will also appeal to physically active people as it is conducive to walking; many daily needs are convenient to carry out on foot. Cycling is easy in Humber Valley.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to reach on foot from anywhere in Humber Valley. In contrast, families may find it challenging for their kids to access high schools as a pedestrian. Parents are served by public and private elementary schools. With regards to eating, a fraction of house buyers in Humber Valley may be able to travel to the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will need a vehicle. Residents are served by a few restaurants and coffee shops as well.

Character

The character of Humber Valley is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Most areas in this neighbourhood are reasonably quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several louder sections, especially close to the railway line.

Housing

Over half of the housing stock of Humber Valley consists of large apartment buildings and single detached homes, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings. This area did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new homes in this neighbourhood was spread throughout several decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century. This neighbourhood also has a good variety of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find houses ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the remainder are renters.
