The neighbourhood of Etobicoke City Centre can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is quite easy to get around in Etobicoke City Centre. It is easy for pedestrians to navigate this neighbourhood; many daily needs can be carried out on foot, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. It is also convenient to get around by bike in Etobicoke City Centre because there are a limited number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is good. The public transit network in Etobicoke City Centre is very convenient due to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Meadowvale Express and Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth), and approximately 30 nearby bus lines. This area is also a very good part of Toronto for travelling by car. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and finding a parking spot is easy.

House buyers in this part of the city will be pleased to learn that a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away. At the same time, the majority of streets have below average tree coverage. Lastly, a large number of parts of this neighbourhood are very serene and quiet, but some other sections can be noisy, especially near Highway 427, F G Gardiner Expressway, the railway line or the airport (Wilson`s Heliport).

Housing

Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing the vast majority of buildings in Etobicoke City Centre, while the rest are mainly single detached homes. This part of Toronto is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. The population residing in this neighbourhood is evenly split between owners and renters. Most homes in this neighbourhood were built after the year 2000, during its largest building boom.
