Eringate

The neighbourhood of Eringate can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Eringate is an extraordinarily good part of Toronto for travelling by car. Most real estate listings are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 427, and it is easy to park. Thanks to a few nearby bus lines, the good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. Although there are not many elevation changes to challenge bicycle riders, and certain bike-friendly areas exist, Eringate is not particularly amenable to cycling as the bicycling network is rather poor. This neighbourhood is also not particularly well-suited for those who travel by foot since running common errands is sometimes difficult without a vehicle.

Services

It is often an option for house buyers in this part of the city to purchase their groceries by walking. There are also a few choices for those who appreciate close by restaurants and cafes. As far as education is concerned, in Eringate, families will usually be able to access schools and daycares by walking.

Character

Eringate offers a great variety of green spaces to enjoy. To be more precise, parks are very well-located and there are around 10 of them close by for residents to check out, making it very easy to reach them. In addition, residents will find that there are numerous tree-lined streets. Due to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of Toronto remains relatively quiet, although there can be more noise for those who are closer to Highway 401 or Highway 427.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 55% of dwellings in Eringate, and the remaining dwellings are mainly large apartment buildings. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 15% are renters. Most of the housing growth in this part of the city took place between 1960 and 1980.
