Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Don Valley Village is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

This neighbourhood offers house buyers the choice between several methods of transportation. The public transit network in this area is fairly good. For example, homeowners benefit from Leslie Station - Eastbound Platform, Don Mills Station - Subway Platform and Don Mills Station - Westbound Platform on the Line 4 (Sheppard). There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses. This part of Toronto is also quite conducive to walking; many common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Don Valley Village is amenable to cycling since the cycling infrastructure is quite extensive.

Services

The closest supermarket in Don Valley Village is typically only a short walk away. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a small number of coffee shops can be found as well. When it comes to education, in Don Valley Village, parents and their children will typically be able to reach schools and daycares on foot. At the secondary level, there are both public and private schools.

Character

The character of Don Valley Village is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. Greenery is prominent in this part of Toronto; public green spaces, like Dallington Park, are very well-located and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to visit, which makes it very easy to reach them. This part of Toronto is also good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite loud, especially near Highway 404 Collector or Highway 404.
