No matter the medium of transportation, it is quite convenient to get around in this part of the city. This neighbourhood is an extremely good part of Toronto for driving. Nearby highways, such as Highway 427, are very easy to access from any home in this neighbourhood, and finding a parking spot is quite easy. The public transit system in this neighbourhood is also fairly good. More specifically, commuters profit from many rapid transit stations on the Meadowvale Express. Homeowners benefit from around 10 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. This neighbourhood is reasonably amenable to cycling as there are a limited number of hills for cyclists to brave. In contrast, walking in Centennial Park is not very common, even though many daily errands can be run on foot.

The closest supermarket in this area is typically only a short walk away. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With regards to education, families will find that wherever their home is situated in this part of the city, daycares and schools are close by. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools.

One of the highlights of Centennial Park is its extensive selection of green spaces. More specifically, there are around 10 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Wood Creek and Mill Valley Park, which makes them very easy to reach. A lot of parts of this neighbourhood are very serene and quiet, but some other areas can be noisy, especially around Highway 427.

Roughly three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing around half of buildings in this neighbourhood, while single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this area happened between 1960 and 1980. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
