The neighbourhood of Mount Forest is part of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park. Biking is difficult in Mount Forest because the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of Thunder Bay are located in areas that are also not very well-suited for walking as meeting daily needs is very impractical.

Services

There are only a very small number of primary schools in Mount Forest and thus they can be a very long walk away. In addition, this part of the city does not contain any high schools. Likewise, families may consider it difficult for their schoolchildren to get to daycares on foot. Concerning eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries.

Around 30% of homes in this part of the city were built between 1990 and 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
