The neighbourhood of Langstaff is part of the town of Richmond Hill, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is easy for pedestrians to navigate Langstaff; many common errands can be run on foot. Cycling is also convenient in this area. Commuting by car is straightforward in Langstaff. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 407, from any location in Langstaff, and finding a place to park is generally easy. However, this part of Richmond Hill is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, rapid transit stations, including Yonge / Bantry-Scott, Yonge / 16th-Carrville and Hwy 7 / Bayview on the Viva Orange, Viva Blue and Viva Purple, are not very far from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. Commuters can rely on the Langstaff with access to the Richmond Hill. There are about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties.

Services

Parents and their children will value that no matter where their house is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, Langstaff does not contain any high schools. Parents are served by public and private primary schools. As far as food is concerned, it is convenient to access the closest grocery store by walking in Langstaff. The character of Langstaff is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of Richmond Hill is reasonably quiet, as the streets are calm - although that is not the case around the railway line or Highway 407. Large apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing about 55% of buildings in Langstaff, while single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock.
