Coldsprings

The neighbourhood of Coldsprings can be found in the city of Peterborough, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Peterborough metropolitan area.

Transportation

The favoured mode of transportation in Coldsprings is very often driving. It is very easy to park, and most real estate listings are a very short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 7 & 115. In contrast, the public transit network in this part of the city is fairly poor. Coldsprings is not very cycling-friendly because the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a good number of slopes. It is also inconvenient for people walking to navigate this part of Peterborough as many daily needs are occasionally challenging to carry out on foot.

Services

In all cases, a car is required to purchase groceries. Concerning education, parents and their children will appreciate that wherever their house is located in this part of the city, primary schools and daycares are nearby. However, there are no high schools in Coldsprings.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Coldsprings. Although this part of the city is not home to any parks, public green spaces are spread out sporadically in nearby neighbourhoods, resulting in them being easy to access from a lot of locations in the neighbourhood. Lastly, this neighbourhood is an excellent area for those who aren't bothered by a bit of noise, since traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be bothersome.

Housing

Coldsprings experienced its most significant construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this time period. In this part of Peterborough, about half of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly townhouses. Around 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 40% are renters. This part of the city offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
