Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in North Gower. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in North Gower is rather poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is straightforward to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. Biking is difficult in this area because there are a good number of elevation changes, and this part of the city has a quite bad cycling infrastructure. Most homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very well-suited for those who travel by foot because meeting day-to-day needs is very inconvenient by walking.

Services

There are only a limited number of primary schools in this area and consequently they can be an extended walk away. In addition, this part of the city does not have any high schools. Furthermore, parents may consider it very difficult for their kids to reach daycares on foot. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary schools. Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. The predominant housing types in this area are single detached homes and row houses. Roughly 30% of properties in this part of the city were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
