The neighbourhood of Island Park is part of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, which is located in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area permits home buyers to travel by a diversity of means of transportation. Owing to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Pré Tunney, and about 40 nearby bus lines, residents can rely on public transit to move around in this neighbourhood. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are also reasonably suitable for walking; many day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses close by. Island Park will appeal to active people since it is very suited for cycling. In particular, there are a fair number of bike lanes, and cyclists do not encounter significant hills.

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a rather short walk away in Island Park. Furthermore, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe in close proximity, for example along Wellington Street. Character
