Transportation

Greenbelt provides homeowners with several alternative means of transportation. The public transit network in Greenbelt is fairly good. There are plenty of rapid transit stations. Residents benefit from over 100 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically very close. Greenbelt is not very suitable for those who travel by foot because few common errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. This part of Ottawa is suited for biking since the cycling infrastructure is good. The car is usually the favoured way to move around in this neighbourhood. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 416, from any home in Greenbelt, and most of the street network is appropriate for driving.
