Transportation

Cumberland is an extremely convenient part of Ottawa for getting around by car. Parking is quite easy. However, the public transit system in Cumberland is rather poor. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. This neighbourhood is not very appropriate for biking as there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the cycling network is not very extensive. Cumberland is also not very well-suited for walking because carrying out day-to-day needs is very inconvenient on foot.

Services

Purchasing one's groceries usually requires the use of a car in Cumberland. As far as education is concerned, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this area.

Character

Cumberland is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of Ottawa are very low, as the streets are usually very tranquil.
