Trafalgar

Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Trafalgar is a neighbourhood within Milton, Ontario.

Transportation

Trafalgar is an extraordinarily good part of Milton for moving around by car. Nearly the entire the street network is appropriate for cars, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, Trafalgar is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Although it is a flat ride to most locations, and bicycling is more practical in certain pockets than others, Trafalgar is not very conducive to biking because this area has a fairly poor cycling infrastructure. It is impractical for people walking to get around in this part of Milton because running common errands is difficult.

Services

Primary schools are convenient to reach on foot from most houses for sale in Trafalgar. In contrast, there are no high schools in Trafalgar. Parents can choose between public and private primary schools. With respect to eating, a vehicle is almost always required in Trafalgar to reach the closest grocery store. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally convenient to access on foot and sell some basic food items. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants.

Character

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Trafalgar. There are a few parks close by for residents to explore, making it easy to get to them. Finally, noise can sometimes be an issue in this part of the town, since traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be bothersome.

Housing

The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Trafalgar is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 80% of the properties in Trafalgar and 20% are rented. About 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
