Situated within the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Mountain View is a neighbourhood in Milton, Ontario.

Transportation

This part of Milton is quite cycling-friendly. Physically active house buyers will also enjoy the pedestrian-friendly character of this area; many daily needs can be met on foot. The public transit network in this neighbourhood is fairly poor. Nevertheless, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. However, driving is a very good transportation option in this area. It is a rather short drive to the closest highway from any home in this part of Milton, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Getting to the closest supermarket by walking is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in Mountain View. Conversely, this part of the town is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and a small selection of cafes is available as well. Regarding education, it is a short walk to reach primary schools and daycares from any location in Mountain View. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Mountain View. Families are served by public and private elementary schools.

Character

The character of Mountain View is exemplified by its calm environment. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to relax in and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them easy to reach. This part of the town is also fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the railway line.

In this part of the town, most dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. About 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented. This area also has a good variety of housing size options - it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
