Old Victoria

The neighbourhood of Old Victoria can be found in the city of London, Ontario, which is located in the Greater London metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is especially convenient in Old Victoria. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and coming across a parking spot is easy. However, Old Victoria is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. It is sometimes difficult to travel by bicycle in this part of London because the terrain is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Walking is also not very practical for property owners in this part of the city because running common errands is very challenging on foot.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city. With respect to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is required to purchase groceries.

Character

Old Victoria is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Old Victoria is quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially close to Highway 401.

Housing

Most of the housing growth in Old Victoria has taken place after the year 2000. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in this part of the city. Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the properties in Old Victoria while the rest are rented. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
