Yeoville provides home buyers with several alternative modes of transportation. Thanks to a few nearby bus lines, Yeoville is a fairly pleasant part of Hamilton for moving around by public transit. Active house buyers will also be pleased with the pedestrian-friendly nature of this part of the city; many day-to-day errands can be run on foot, and there are also a good number of businesses in proximity. The bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Yeoville because this area is home to a rather limited cycling infrastructure, and the terrain is not particularly flat.

Concerning education, in this part of Hamilton, parents and their schoolchildren will generally be able to get to daycares and schools by walking.

Character

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Yeoville. Although Yeoville does not contain any parks, public green spaces are especially well-spread out in nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to access them. This part of the city remains relatively quiet, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, although noise levels are higher closer to Lincoln M Alexander Parkway.

Housing

About two thirds of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing most dwellings in this area, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. Most housing in this part of Hamilton was built between 1960 and 1980, during its biggest construction boom. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
