Inch Park

Inch Park is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the city provides home buyers with several alternative means of transportation. Active property owners will be pleased with the pedestrian-friendly character of this neighbourhood; most daily needs are easy to carry out by walking, and numerous businesses are reasonably close by. However, Inch Park is not especially amenable to biking because there are a fair number of slopes, and Inch Park has a somewhat poor cycling infrastructure. With a few nearby bus lines, this part of the city is reasonably transit friendly. Driving is also a fairly good transportation option in this neighbourhood. Parking is easy.

Services

It is a short walk to access daycares and primary schools from most homes for sale in Inch Park. In contrast, there are no high schools in this part of the city. Concerning food, a portion of home buyers in Inch Park may be able to access the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need another means of transportation. That being said, this part of Hamilton is a fairly good place in which to eat out, for instance on Concession Street, and house buyers can enjoy a few cafes as well.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Inch Park. The noise levels in this neighbourhood are low, as the streets tend to be reasonably tranquil. Lastly, it is very easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, such as Sam Lawrence Park.

Housing

Inch Park experienced its largest construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available properties are from this era. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
