Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Clearview. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, and it is very easy to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Clearview is not very frequent. Nevertheless, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically within walking distance. It is challenging for pedestrians to move around in this part of the city as very few daily errands can be run without having to use a vehicle. On the other hand, bicycling is easy in Clearview.

Services

In Clearview, parents and their schoolchildren will usually be able to get to primary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of high schools and accordingly they can be a rather long walk away. When it comes to food, some, but not all, house buyers in this neighbourhood will live within walking distance of the nearest grocery store.

Character

Clearview is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, like Robert E. Wade Ancaster Community Park and Open Space, and they are very well-spread out, which makes them easy to reach. This neighbourhood is especially quiet overall, as the streets are generally very peaceful.

Housing

The housing stock of Clearview is composed primarily of single detached homes and townhouses. About 45% of properties in this area were built in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of Hamilton is particularly good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes. Roughly all of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented.
