Transportation

Walking is quite practical for home buyers in this neighbourhood; many common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. However, bicycling is occasionally challenging in this part of Pickering because the cycling network is rather poor. Nonetheless, there are a limited number of hills to challenge cyclists, and certain bike-friendly areas can be found. The car is usually the preferred way to navigate this part of the city. It is easy to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to reach from any home in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, Village East is not particularly transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences.

Primary schools and daycares are convenient to access on foot from any location in Village East. On the other hand, this area does not contain any high schools. In terms of eating, it is very easy to reach the closest grocery store on foot from most homes for sale in Village East. Additionally, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe in close proximity.

Village East is quiet overall, as the streets are usually tranquil - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near Highway 401.
