Situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Sixteen Hollow is a neighbourhood within Oakville, Ontario.

Transportation

Bicycling is convenient in this part of the town since the cycling infrastructure is fairly good. Sixteen Hollow is also quite conducive to walking; most daily needs are convenient to meet without needing to resort to a vehicle. The public transit network in this area is fairly poor. Thankfully, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically just around the corner. In contrast, driving is a great means of transportation in this neighbourhood. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Families will find that no matter where their home is located in Sixteen Hollow, daycares and primary schools are nearby. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Concerning food, it is very convenient to access the closest grocery store by walking from any home in Sixteen Hollow. In addition, a cafe is on average a reasonably short stroll away, and there are also a few restaurants in Sixteen Hollow.

Character

The character of Sixteen Hollow is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. It is very easy to access green spaces from a lot of locations within the neighbourhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out and getting to the closest park is very easy from a large number of homes. The noise levels in this area are also reasonably low, as the streets are reasonably peaceful - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially closer to Highway 407.

Housing

The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Sixteen Hollow is an important part of its character. This part of the town offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. This part of the town experienced its biggest construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this time period.
