Lake Vista is a neighbourhood within Ajax, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Moving around by car is straightforward in Lake Vista. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, Lake Vista is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. There are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Lake Vista, even though many daily errands can be run without the use of a car. On the other hand, Lake Vista is reasonably suited for biking.

Services

Getting to the nearest supermarket by walking is an option for some, but not all, property owners in this neighbourhood. That being said, it is convenient to walk to the closest coffee shop, and a limited variety of restaurants can be found in Lake Vista as well. In terms of education, it is a short walk to access schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this part of the town.

Character

The character of Lake Vista is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Lake Vista is great for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Parks aren't well-situated, making it very hard to access them.

Housing

Around three quarters of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. In this neighbourhood, about one quarter of dwellings are small apartment buildings, while the rest are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. About one third of properties in this part of the town were constructed following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
