Transportation

Glen Park West provides property owners with the choice between different modes of transportation. This area is suitable for walking; running common errands is straightforward on foot, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Cycling is also easy in this area as the bicycling infrastructure is comprehensive, and there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Thanks to many nearby rapid transit stations on the Line 1 (Yonge-University), and approximately 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit network in this part of the city is very good. Travelling by car is also easy in Glen Park West. Nearby highways, such as Allen Expressway, are reasonably easy to drive to from anywhere in this part of the city.

Services

It is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. Residents have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. In terms of food, both general and specialty grocery stores are usually accessible within a very short walk from most properties for sale in Glen Park West. Additionally, this area is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe.

Character

The character of Glen Park West is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This area features a small amount of greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is sub-par. However, there are approximately 20 parks close by for residents to explore, such as Kay Gardner Beltline Park, and they are especially well-situated, making them very easy to reach. This part of the city is also good for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as the streets are usually calm - however noise can be bothersome closer to Allen Expressway or the railway line.
