Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close. This area is also excellent for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

About one third of properties in Bowes were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. This part of the town offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
