Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Tyandaga is a neighbourhood within Burlington, Ontario.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred approach to navigate this part of the city. Many homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 403, and it is straightforward to access a place to park. However, public transit riders may experience limited choices in Tyandaga as a result of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Moving around by bicycle is sometimes difficult in Tyandaga as there are few bike lanes, and there are quite a few hills. Tyandaga is also not particularly conducive to walking as few common errands can be run on foot.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are convenient to walk to from anywhere in Tyandaga. In contrast, this area does not contain any high schools. With respect to food, it is generally possible for house buyers in this part of the city to buy groceries on foot. There are also a few restaurants in Tyandaga.

Character

The character of Tyandaga is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Green spaces are easy to get to since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in. This area is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Tyandaga, roughly two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. The majority of the properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 1990s. This area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the units in the neighbourhood and 20% are rented.
