Part of the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Trillium is a neighbourhood within Hamilton, Ontario.

Transportation

The best transportation option in Trillium is very often a car. The majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and coming across a place to park is generally easy. Trillium is not very suited for bicycling because this neighbourhood is home to a fairly poor cycling infrastructure. Thankfully, there are a limited number of hills. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very suitable for walking because very few daily needs can be met on foot.

Services

A car is almost always needed in this part of Hamilton to reach the closest grocery store. Nevertheless, pharmacies are generally easy to get to on foot and sell some basic food items. In terms of education, this neighbourhood does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away.

Character

Trillium is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Trillium is very quiet, as the streets tend to be very calm closer to Queen Elizabeth Way. It is occasionally hard to reach public green spaces within the neighbourhood since they aren't well-distributed. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to explore.

Housing

In Trillium, roughly 55% of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly townhouses. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the properties in Trillium and 20% are rented. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available homes are from this era.
